West Ham United vs Norwich City

Analysis
After a pair of two goal victories, a Kevin Nolan braces, and a trio of clean sheets, West Ham United welcome fellow strugglers Norwich City to the Boleyn.

The Canaries have been in relatively poor form in recent times, and have managed just three victories since they beat the Hammers at Carrow Road back in November.

But they come into this game on the back of a well earned point against Manchester City, and we already know first hand that they have some dangerous players.

That said, Norwich are currently in the middle of a bit of an injury pile up. According to physioroom, there are a potential seven first teamers who could be absent for Tuesday night's game - including dangermen Gary Hooper and Robert Snodgrass.

Should Hooper miss out, it seems likely that Netherlands striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel will come into the side. The Dutchman has managed just one goal since his move from Sporting Lisbon in the summer. This record is almost symptomatic of Norwich strikers this season, with the four forwards managing just 6 league goals between them.

The image below is taken from the new Squawka Comparison Matrix, and compares Hooper, Johan Elmander, van Wolfswinkel and Luciano Becchio's records this season. As you can see, Hooper is the stand out forward of the four, with the most goals, shots and the best shot accuracy.

Other than the frontmen, Norwich possess a few other dangerous players.

One man who stands out is Nathan Redmond. The former Birmingham City winger was wanted by a number of clubs in the summer (a lot of Hammers fans wanted him in Claret and Blue this season), but ended up with the Norfolk side.

The electric winger has stepped up from the Championship seamlessly, attacking fullbacks at will. The England under 21 international has attempted 71 take ons this season, beating his man 38 times in 22 appearances.

And Redmond has end product too. The winger has completed 32 of his 114 attempted crosses (27%), created 27 chances, and nabbed himself three assists.

The wideman has also shown he isn't afraid to have a pop at goal, as demonstrated in the image below. Redmond has hit the target with 45% of his 38 attempts on goal.

The final player to mention is Leroy Fer. The Dutchman has proven to be a key component of the Norwich midfield this season, making 24 appearances, and staying on for the full 90 minutes in 22 of those.

Fer has completed an impressive 84% of his passes this season, created 22 chances, scored three goals, completed 71% of his 38 attempted take ons, and has completed 54 of his 130 attempted tackles.

The midfielder is a real all rounder, and is capable of dictating a game if the opposition allow.

Back in the return game in November, West Ham did just that. Fer completed 43 of his 52 passes, created one goalscoring opportunity, won 4 of his 9 tackles, made two interceptions, was successful with 2 of his 3 take ons, and scored the third goal for Norwich to secure the points.

He ran the show, and was all over the park, as shown by his heat map from that day.

We've hit some good form recently, with big players stepping up to the mark when required. Kevin Nolan, Matt Jarvis and Stewart Downing have linked up well in recent weeks. The current back four have been producing inspired performances. Matthew Taylor appears to have made the position of Mark Noble's partner his own, and Adrián has firmly become a fans favourite after dislodging Jussi Jaaskelainen.

If we can continue this form, there is no reason we can't make it three wins on the spin, and really start climbing the Premier League table.
